Next year masters alpine skiers will have the unique chance to feel “Olympic spirit” and excitement of the biggest winter sport events, enjoy in festival atmosphere and spend time with athletes from whole world at the World Winter Masters Games!
At World Winter Masters Games, which will be held between January 25 and January 31 2010, sport lovers older then 30 years can compete in six different sports and Alpine skiing is among them. Alpine skiing will take place in Kranjska Gora. The skiers can compete in slalom, giant slalom and Super G. Each participant can register for one, two or three discipline. Daily Ski pass is included in your registration fee.
There is no qualification criteria. The competitors can register by themselves at web page www.2010mastersgames.com. The registrations for World Winter Masters Games have already started. By now many skiers have registered including French, Italian, Austrian, German, Australian, Canadian, Israeli and Slovenian skiers. Among others world famous Christian Mayer, two times Olympic bronze medalist and Slovenians Jure Košir, Olympic bronze medalist from Lillehammer and Urška Hrovat five times World Cup race winner.
World Winter Masters Games will take place at the same time when the best men skiers will be competing at FIS World Cup in Alpine skiing in Kranjska Gora. This will create unique opportunity for sportsmen all over the world to compete at the same time as world best skiers.
Further on 100 tickets for FIS World Cup will be distributed among randomly picked first 500 registered participants in Alpine skiing. In addition to that the closing ceremony of World Winter Masters Games will be combined with FIS World Cup party Explosion of fun.
